Earlier when the first look of Naga Chaitanya from 'Yuddham Sharanam' was released, people guessed it to be an intense drama and the teaser that is released recently has only pumped our expectations.
Naga Chaitanya, who scored career's biggest openings with his last, 'Rarandoi veduka Chudam' by Kalyan Krishna has to settle for an average as the movie quite did not do well at the BO. However, with many projects in his kitty and coming-of-age film directors queuing up for him, the actor has his diary full.
Going by the teaser, which is high on emotions and is very intense, we got to understand that the actor plays a victim to situations that push him to rebel against the odds. The depiction of family in the teaser is a hint about how the movie is going to emphasise on the family elements. With actors like Rao Ramesh and Revathy, we assume that we are not just in for fantastic performances but also for a story to vouch for. Lavanya Tripathi's role brings the romantic flavour to the otherwise serious drama.
Directed by debutante Krishna Marimuthu, 'Yudhham Sharanam' gives us an insight of how and why the route of violence has to be chosen, when situation demands. With a dialogue that translates to "When the odds betray. When hope is so bleak! When my cage is rattled ... I dare to survive", as told by the actor himself, the director tried to justify his point. in the teaser.
Another important highlight of the film as well as the teaser is actor Srikanth, who will be playing an antagonist after a few decades. Do we need to mention that Srikanth started off his career in films with negative roles? Srikanth's characterisation is hinted to be dark with a strong impact.
